McHenry County College

McHenry County College (MCC) stands as a vital public community college in McHenry County, Illinois, dedicated to providing accessible and high-quality education. Established on April 1, 1967, MCC has a rich history of growth and commitment to its community. Classes first commenced in September 1968, initially held in a rented oil company and serving 312 full-time students. Recognizing the need for a dedicated space, construction began in 1974 on its present 68-acre campus in Crystal Lake. By May 1976, the college had fully relocated, laying the foundation for its expansive and modern learning environment that continues to evolve.
