Millsaps College

Notably, it was one of only 131 institutions selected nationwide for the prestigious Navy V-12 College Training Program during World War II. This rigorous program saw 380 students arrive in April 1943, offering vital training in engineering, pre-medical, and pre-dental fields. Over the course of the program from 1943 to 1945, Millsaps proudly educated a total of 873 officer candidates, demonstrating its capacity for demanding academic instruction and its commitment to national service.
