Welcome to Mission University, formerly known as Baptist Bible College, a dynamic private Bible college dedicated to profound personal and spiritual growth. Its recent renaming in January 2024 marks a new chapter, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to its mission and vision for the future.

The university's rich history began in 1950 when a group of Baptist ministers established Baptist Bible College, acquiring land in Springfield, Missouri, to open its first dormitories. Over the decades, the institution has seen several dedicated leaders guide its path, from founding president George Beauchamp Vick to the current president, Mark Milioni. A significant milestone was achieved in 2005 with full accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a testament to the hard work and academic rigor cultivated over many years.

Mission University focuses on providing a faith-based education that fosters deep spiritual understanding and practical skills. While the journey has included challenges, such as a period of accreditation probation which was successfully lifted in 2019, the university has consistently demonstrated resilience and a commitment to its educational mission.
