National Park College, nestled in the scenic Hot Springs area, empowers students to "Find Your Path" through accessible and impactful education. Established in 2003, NPC is the proud result of a visionary merger between Garland County Community College and Quapaw Technical Institute, bringing together decades of educational heritage and technical expertise. This public community college is a vibrant hub where students discover their potential and prepare for successful careers and continued academic pursuits.

The college has a history of significant community support and academic innovation. In 2006, it made headlines by receiving the largest cash donation in Arkansas community college history – a generous $1.5 million gift dedicated to a state-of-the-art nursing and health sciences facility. This commitment underscores NPC's strength in vital healthcare fields, preparing a skilled workforce for the region. Beyond health sciences, NPC has also forged a pioneering joint program in early-childhood and middle-school teaching with Henderson State University, demonstrating its dedication to shaping future educators.

NPC’s commitment extends beyond academics to student welfare and community resilience. Following the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the college stepped up to assist displaced students, ensuring they found a welcoming place to continue their education.
