About NationsUniversity
NationsUniversity offers global religious education through an innovative volunteer model.
NationsUniversity isn't your traditional campus; it's a pioneering institution known for delivering religious education globally through a unique volunteer-driven model. Since its inception, NU has dedicated itself to making theological studies accessible, reaching thousands of students across the world through its impactful programs.
The university's story began in 1996, co-founded by visionaries Richard Ady, Mac Lynn, and Darrell Frazier. Ady, who had previously founded the World English Institute, and Lynn, with a strong background in higher education, envisioned a university built on the passion and dedication of volunteers. This innovative approach initially involved volunteers traveling globally to conduct courses and seminars in religious studies, laying the groundwork for what would become NationsUniversity.
As this global volunteer network grew—eventually encompassing around two hundred dedicated individuals—so did the demand for structured religious degree programs. NationsUniversity responded by formalizing its offerings, becoming officially incorporated in Louisiana on July 19, 1996. Today, it serves an international student body of approximately 1,500 individuals, providing robust academic programs in religious studies that empower individuals with knowledge and spiritual growth, all within a globally connected and supportive learning environment.
