New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) stands as a beacon for those called to ministry, living up to its inspiring motto: "Prepare here. Serve anywhere." Founded in 1917 by the Southern Baptist Convention, NOBTS was uniquely established as the Convention's first direct institutional act, initially serving as a vital gateway for missionary work to Central America. The seminary's rich history began as the Baptist Bible Institute in New Orleans' historic Garden District before relocating to its expansive 75-acre campus in Gentilly in 1953.
