New River Community College

New River Community College (NRCC) stands as a vital public community college in Southwest Virginia, offering a dynamic and accessible pathway to higher education and career readiness. NRCC's rich history began in 1959 as the New River Vocational-Technical School, reflecting its foundational commitment to practical, skill-based education. The college transformed in late 1969, adopting its current name and establishing its main campus in Dublin, solidifying its modern identity as a comprehensive community college.

Today, NRCC continues to innovate under the leadership of its fifth president, Patricia B. Huber, who made history in 2017 as the first woman to hold the position.
