New River Community College

New River Community College (NRCC) stands as a cornerstone of public education in Southwest Virginia, empowering students with vocational roots and a commitment to academic advancement. Founded in 1959, NRCC has evolved from the New River Vocational-Technical School into a thriving community college under the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Originally established in Radford, the college moved to its current location in Dublin in late 1969, marking a significant milestone in its growth and community integration. Notably, President Huber is the fifth president and the first woman to lead New River Community College, bringing a fresh perspective and continued commitment to student success.
