From its humble beginnings with just four students in 1994, New Saint Andrews College has experienced remarkable growth and recognition. The college graduated its first two students in 1998 and soon after moved into the historic Skattaboe Block, a building originally constructed in 1892. Its unique approach to education garnered national attention, leading to features on the Christian Broadcasting Network in 2006 and in The New York Times Magazine in 2007, showcasing its rising prominence in higher education.

Academically, New Saint Andrews has been lauded for providing an environment conducive to deep thought and robust discussion. In 2006, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute recognized it as one of the top 50 schools for "conservatives, old-fashioned liberals, and people of faith," highlighting its commitment to fostering thoughtful discourse across various perspectives.
