North American University (NAU) stands as a testament to rapid growth and a commitment to global education. Guided by its inspiring motto, "Inspiration. Innovation. Global Competence.," this private university, founded in 2007, has quickly established itself as a dynamic institution fostering an environment for student success and international understanding.

NAU began its journey as the Texas Gulf Institute in April 2007, initially offering certificate programs. Its evolution was swift; by July 2010, it earned approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to offer bachelor's degrees, prompting a name change to North American College (NAC). A pivotal move to a new, dedicated administrative and educational building in Houston further solidified its foundation. The institution marked a significant milestone with its first commencement in May 2013, celebrating its inaugural class of graduates, before officially rebranding as North American University (NAU) in the fall of the same year.

Today, NAU offers a comprehensive range of programs, including ESL, bachelor's degrees in fields like Business Administration and Interdisciplinary Studies in Education, and various master's degrees.
