About Northpoint Bible College

Empowering leaders for ministry and service with a rich heritage and innovative programs.

Northpoint Bible College stands as a vibrant private Bible college and seminary, dedicated to equipping students for impactful lives in ministry and beyond. With a focus on spiritual formation and academic excellence, Northpoint prepares its 345 students to serve with passion and purpose, drawing on a nearly century-long legacy of faith and education. Affiliated with the Assemblies of God USA, the college provides a supportive and dynamic environment for growth.

The institution's journey began in 1924 as The School of the Prophets, founded by Rev. Christine Gibson in East Providence, Rhode Island. Over the decades, it evolved through various names and locations, including a significant period at the former Barrington College campus. A pivotal moment arrived in 2007 when David Green, CEO of Hobby Lobby, gifted the college the 18-acre former Bradford College campus in Haverhill, Massachusetts, marking a new era of expansion. This relocation in 2008 saw enrollment double, affirming the college's growing influence and vision.

Today, Northpoint Bible College offers a robust academic portfolio, including Associate of Arts, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees, all accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education since 2001. Embracing modern educational approaches, the college launched postsecondary distance education courses in 2017, making its programs accessible to a wider audience. Further demonstrating its commitment to diverse communities, Northpoint expanded its offerings in 2022 with the addition of a Hispanic Seminary, Northpoint Universidad Bíblica y Seminario, solidifying its role as a forward-thinking institution for global ministry.
