Northwest College

Northwest College stands as a vibrant public community college, truly embodying its motto: "Your future, our focus." Established in 1946, the institution began its journey with the support of the University of Wyoming and the local school district, initially known as the "University of Wyoming Northwest Center." This early partnership laid a strong educational foundation, enabling the college to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of its community.

By 1950, the college transitioned to full independence from the University of Wyoming, marking a significant step in its development. This independence allowed Northwest College to forge its unique identity, culminating in the adoption of its current name in 1989. Today, under the leadership of President Lisa Watson, the college remains committed to providing accessible and quality education.

With a dedicated student body of 1,443, Northwest College fosters a supportive and focused learning environment. It’s a place where students can build practical skills, pursue foundational academics, and prepare for seamless transfer to four-year institutions or immediate entry into their chosen careers.
