Northwest Mississippi Community College (NWCC) stands as a vibrant public institution, deeply rooted in the heart of Senatobia, Mississippi, while extending its reach across an eleven-county district. The college's rich history began in 1915 as the Tate County Agricultural High School, laying the groundwork for its future. It officially transitioned into a community college, established on September 7, 1926, with significant support from local counties and the Mississippi Junior College Commission. NWCC has consistently adapted to the needs of its students and the times, from accepting produce for room and board during the Depression to accelerating studies for WWII efforts, showcasing its enduring commitment to student success and community service. The institution officially became Northwest Mississippi Community College in 1988, reflecting its expanded mission and offerings.
