Ohio Christian University (OCU) stands as a vibrant private university committed to shaping lives through a faith-based education. The university's rich history began in 1948 as Mount of Praise Bible College, stemming from the annual revivalist camp meetings of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. Its initial mission was clear: to train ministers for the denomination. Over the decades, it evolved, first becoming Circleville Bible College, and then, in a significant milestone in 2006, it adopted its current name, Ohio Christian University, simultaneously achieving regional accreditation, broadening its academic scope and recognition.
