Oklahoma City Community College

Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) stands as a vibrant public community college, proudly serving over 11,400 students across the Oklahoma City metro area. The college's rich history began with the vision of local leaders in 1968, who championed the establishment of a junior college in south Oklahoma City. Officially opening its doors as South Oklahoma City Junior College in 1972 with an initial enrollment of 1,049 students, OCCC quickly grew, solidifying its commitment to comprehensive community service. This dedication culminated in its renaming to Oklahoma City Community College in 1983, a change that reflected its expanded mission to support the entire Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
