Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) stands as a prominent institution dedicated to advancing healthcare and medical education, particularly renowned for its leadership in osteopathic medicine. Founded in 1972 as the Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, its journey reflects a commitment to innovation and growth. Becoming part of the OSU System in 1988, the institution solidified its foundation, setting the stage for significant advancements in medical training and patient care.

A pivotal moment arrived in 2006 with the academic affiliation with Tulsa Regional Medical Center, which soon transformed into the Oklahoma State University Medical Center (OSUMC). This 50-year agreement established OSUMC as the largest osteopathic teaching center in the United States, annually training 165 resident physicians across various specialties. Students at OSU-CHS benefit immensely from hands-on experience within this expansive teaching hospital, coupled with substantial legislative funding directed towards enhancing its technology and facilities, including critical expansions in intensive care and women's health.
