Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) stands as a vital and rapidly evolving institution dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals for the region. Founded in 2005 with a clear mission to establish a new osteopathic medical school in Washington State, PNWU has grown remarkably, addressing critical healthcare needs across the Pacific Northwest.

From its foundational Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program, which graduated its first class of 69 students in 2012, PNWU has consistently expanded its academic offerings. The university has diversified into various allied health professions, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive health sciences education. This growth includes the launch of a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences (MAMS) program, a School of Physical Therapy, a School of Occupational Therapy, and most recently, a School of Dental Medicine, which welcomed its inaugural class in 2024.

PNWU's impact extends beyond its campus, fostering robust practical experience for its students. Despite initial challenges in securing clinical rotation sites, the university has successfully established an extensive network across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana.
