Paradise Valley Community College

Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) stands as a vibrant and expanding hub of learning in the heart of the Maricopa County Community College District. Since its humble beginnings in 1985 as the Northeast Valley Education Center, PVCC has mirrored the dynamic growth of the Phoenix area, evolving into a robust public community college serving approximately 14,000 students. It offers a diverse and comprehensive academic experience designed to prepare students for successful careers and continued education.

PVCC's history is a testament to its commitment to growth and community integration. Starting as an extension of Scottsdale Community College, it quickly gained independent accreditation in 1990, establishing its distinct identity. The campus itself has been a continuous work in progress, with significant expansions like the M-Building, the state-of-the-art Center for the Performing Arts, and specialized facilities for high-demand fields. The acquisition and renovation of the George L. Campbell Branch Library into the Q-Building for Mathematics, and the opening of the Black Mountain satellite campus, underscore PVCC's dedication to accessibility and innovation.
