Penn State Shenango, a public satellite campus of the esteemed Pennsylvania State University, has long served as a crucial gateway for local students to embark on their higher education journey. Academically, Penn State Shenango has offered a range of Penn State degree programs, notably enhancing its offerings with a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant program. This program, supported by a fully renovated Chadderton Laboratory in 2013, exemplifies the campus's focus on professional, career-oriented education. However, after decades of serving the community, Penn State announced the planned closure of the Shenango campus by Spring 2027. This decision, influenced by declining enrollment and financial considerations, marks a significant transition.
