Provo College

Provo College stands as a private, for-profit institution dedicated to providing career-focused education. Since its inception, it has adapted to meet the evolving needs of students seeking practical skills and clear pathways to professional success in a variety of fields.

The college's journey began in 1984 as the Dental Careers Institute, reflecting an initial specialized focus. It quickly broadened its scope, first rebranding as Advanced Careers Institute, and then, in December 1989, officially adopting the name Provo College to signify its expanded program offerings. A significant milestone occurred in 1992 when the Center for Professional Studies, Inc. acquired the institution, leading to a relocation that further solidified its presence and mission.

Provo College has continuously enhanced its academic offerings, transforming its degree structure in 2005 from Associate of Applied Science to the more comprehensive Associate of Science. Demonstrating its commitment to higher-level education, the college expanded its curriculum to include bachelor's degrees by 2013, providing more robust career advancement opportunities. The institution's reach also grew, with a non-main campus opening in Idaho Falls in 2019, which later became Eagle Gate College. By 2020, both Provo College and Eagle Gate College became integral parts of the Unitek Learning network, reinforcing their shared commitment to career-oriented higher education and student success.
