Provo College has a rich history rooted in practical, career-focused education. Established as a private for-profit institution, it has continually adapted to meet the demands of the workforce, offering students a direct path to professional success. What began in 1984 as the Dental Careers Institute, later known as Advanced Careers Institute, quickly broadened its scope, officially becoming Provo College in December 1989. This transformation marked a significant step in its journey to becoming a more comprehensive educational provider. Its acquisition in 1992 by the Center for Professional Studies, Inc., and subsequent relocation, further solidified its presence and mission in higher education.

Provo College has consistently expanded its academic offerings, transitioning from Associate of Applied Science to Associate of Science degrees in 2005, and proudly introducing bachelor’s degree programs by 2013. This growth ensures students have access to progressively higher levels of education, all designed with a strong emphasis on practical application. Now a part of the Unitek Learning network since 2020, Provo College continues its legacy of empowering students with the career-ready skills needed to thrive in today's competitive landscape.
