Provo College

Provo College stands as a dynamic private, for-profit institution dedicated to providing career-focused education. From its origins as a specialized training center, it has consistently evolved to meet the demands of the modern workforce, helping students build practical skills and achieve their professional aspirations. The college's history began in 1984 as the Dental Careers Institute, later expanding its scope and rebranding as Advanced Careers Institute. A pivotal moment arrived in December 1989 when it adopted the name Provo College, signaling a broader range of educational offerings. Further establishing its foundation, Provo College was acquired by the Center for Professional Studies, Inc. in 1992, leading to its relocation to its current facilities, solidifying its presence as a key educational provider in the region.

Academically, Provo College has demonstrated continuous growth in its degree pathways. Initially offering specialized programs, the institution enhanced its credentials in 2005 by changing its primary degree offering to an Associate of Science. By 2013, the college had expanded its horizons even further, proudly introducing bachelor’s degrees, thereby providing students with more comprehensive and advanced educational opportunities for career advancement. This expansion underscores its dedication to empowering students with diverse levels of education.

In recent years, Provo College has continued to adapt and grow within the larger educational landscape. In 2019, it extended its reach by opening a non-main campus in Idaho Falls, which was accredited by ABHES and later became Eagle Gate College. By 2020, both Provo College and Eagle Gate College joined the Unitek Learning network, integrating them into a broader system of career-focused education and resources, enhancing the overall student experience and potential career connections.
