Red Rocks Community College

Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) stands as a vibrant hub of learning, offering a welcoming environment for students embarking on their academic and professional journeys. The college's rich history began in 1969, initially operating as part of the Community College of Denver from a temporary location. Driven by a commitment to permanent growth, the Colorado legislature funded the construction of its iconic Lakewood campus, with the first phase opening its doors in 1973. A significant milestone arrived on July 1, 1983, when the Red Rocks campus proudly became its own independent entity: Red Rocks Community College. This evolution paved the way for expansion, including the establishment of its second campus in Arvada in 1990, further solidifying its presence and reach.

Under the leadership of its tenth president, Dr. Landon Pirius, who assumed duties in March 2024, RRCC continues to uphold its mission of fostering student success.
