Reedley College

Reedley College, a dynamic public community college founded in 1926, serves over 12,900 students with a commitment to accessible education. Led by President Jerry L. Its journey began in May 1926 as Reedley Junior College, initially sharing facilities with Reedley High School. A significant milestone was reached on July 1, 1946, when it evolved into a full community college. The institution truly came into its own in 1956, moving to its sprawling 420-acre present location. This distinctive campus, once part of the historic Thomas Law Reed Ranch, remarkably retains 300 acres as active farmland, offering a unique connection to agricultural heritage and potential hands-on learning experiences.

Reedley College boasts a proud legacy of adaptation and community responsiveness. After joining the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) in 1963, it underwent a temporary rebranding as Kings River Community College in 1980. However, reflecting the strong sentiment of its community, the original and beloved name, Reedley College, was proudly restored in July 1998. Academically, the college continues to innovate, as evidenced by the recent enhancement of its aviation program with five state-of-the-art Skyleader 600 light-sport aircraft in 2023, preparing students for cutting-edge careers.
