Riverside City College

Riverside City College (RCC) stands as a cornerstone of public higher education in Southern California, offering a vibrant and diverse learning environment since its founding in 1916. As a public community college, RCC is dedicated to providing accessible pathways for over 20,000 students each semester to earn associate degrees, seamlessly transfer to four-year colleges or universities, or acquire career certificates through its comprehensive vocational education programs. Originally established as Riverside Junior College alongside Riverside Polytechnic High School, RCC quickly expanded, constructing its first campus buildings by 1924. After assuming full control of its Magnolia property campus in 1965 when Riverside Poly relocated, the institution continued to evolve, eventually returning to its current name, Riverside City College, in 2008. This long history is woven into the fabric of its mission, supporting the educational and economic development of the region.

Academically, RCC shines with a commitment to excellence and innovation. A prime example is the Henry W. Coil Sr. and Alice Edna Coil School for the Arts, which opened in 2016. This state-of-the-art facility, complete with a concert hall designed for adjustable acoustics, is home to the college's distinguished music program, including the internationally renowned RCC Chamber Singers and RCC Jazz Ensemble. Beyond the arts, the college also houses a dedicated School for Nursing, providing vital training for future healthcare professionals.
