The college's rich history dates back to 1910, when it first opened its doors as a boys' vocational high school. Over the decades, it has continuously adapted to meet the evolving educational and workforce needs of the community. This journey saw it transform into Saint Paul Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) in 1966, moving into its modern facility, and then significantly expanding its scope in 2002 by incorporating liberal arts into its curriculum, officially becoming Saint Paul College – A Community & Technical College.

A standout feature of Saint Paul College's academic prowess is its legacy in specialized trades. It proudly housed the nation's oldest watchmaking and clockmaking programs, a testament to its commitment to preserving and advancing unique, high-skill crafts. These programs garnered national recognition, including a prestigious grant from Rolex and the offering of the industry-esteemed WOSTEP certificate. Today, under the leadership of President Deidra Peaslee, the college's first female president appointed in March 2021, Saint Paul College continues to foster an engaging learning environment, having successfully resolved accreditation matters and reinforcing its commitment to student success and community impact.
