Seward County Community College

Seward County Community College (SCCC) stands as a vital public community college, welcoming 1,787 students into a dynamic learning environment. Since its establishment in 1967, SCCC has been a cornerstone for education in its community, providing accessible pathways to academic achievement and career readiness. Initially founded on December 29, 1967, the college officially opened its doors for classes on September 2, 1969. A significant milestone occurred during the 2008-2009 academic year when SCCC merged with Southwest Technical School, expanding its offerings and becoming Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. This strategic integration solidified its commitment to providing a comprehensive educational experience.

Though its name reverted to Seward County Community College in 2016, the institution wisely retained the valuable technical school programs and facilities.
