Southern Adventist University, nestled on a sprawling 1,000-acre rural campus in Collegedale, Tennessee, offers a distinctive educational experience deeply rooted in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs. With a rich history dating back to 1892, Southern Adventist University began its journey as Graysville Academy, proudly holding the distinction of being the first Adventist school in the southern U.S. Over the decades, it evolved through several name changes—including Southern Junior College and Southern Missionary College—before adopting its current university status in 1996.
