Spokane Falls Community College

Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) offers a vibrant learning environment rooted in a unique history. Established on the former grounds of Fort George Wright, SFCC provides a public community college experience for 3,805 students, blending its rich past with forward-thinking academic opportunities. This unique setting provides students with a campus that is not only historically significant but also architecturally distinct.

The college's journey began with a vision in 1960 to transform surplus government land into a hub of education. By 1967, SFCC officially opened its doors, initially as part of Spokane Community College. In 1970, SFCC evolved into an independent institution, while notably maintaining a cooperative relationship with Spokane Community College. The original campus design was ambitious, featuring eight new buildings constructed in a consistent Mid-20th Century Modern architectural style.
