Summit Christian College

Summit Christian College, grounded in a rich history of Christian higher education, offers a distinctive learning experience for students seeking to integrate faith with their academic pursuits. While its early contributions included a pioneering medical missions program dedicated to world evangelism, the college has skillfully adapted its focus over time, evolving to meet the contemporary needs of its students while upholding its steadfast commitment to Christian principles. Today, it provides an environment where spiritual growth and academic excellence are interwoven, preparing students for impactful lives and ministries.

A significant chapter in the college's journey unfolded in 2005 when Platte Valley Bible College officially adopted its current name, Summit Christian College. This rebranding marked a pivotal moment, symbolizing a refreshed vision and a forward-looking approach to Christian education. Just three years later, in 2008, the college further solidified its future by relocating to a newly remodeled campus in the neighboring city of Gering, Nebraska, providing modern facilities and an enhanced learning environment for its growing community.

As a Christian college, Summit emphasizes a curriculum designed to nurture both intellect and spirit. Its foundation as a Bible college suggests strong offerings in theology, ministry, and related faith-based fields, preparing students for leadership and service within Christian contexts. The move to a new, state-of-the-art campus has fostered a vibrant student experience, promoting a close-knit community where individuals can grow academically, spiritually, and personally, supported by dedicated faculty and a shared commitment to their faith journey.
