The journey of SUNY Poly is one of continuous evolution and growth. What began as the Upper Division College at Herkimer/Rome/Utica for transfer and graduate students transformed significantly over the decades. It moved to its permanent 762-acre Marcy campus in the 1980s and, by 2003, welcomed its first class of freshmen, becoming a comprehensive four-year institution.
