Touro University Nevada

Touro University Nevada stands as a vital educational institution dedicated to addressing the critical needs in health care and education across the state. Established in 2004, this private, non-profit, Jewish-sponsored university quickly became a cornerstone for community service and professional development, opening its doors to an initial class of 78 medical students with a clear vision to serve Nevada.

Known for its trailblazing approach, Touro University Nevada has been instrumental in shaping the state's educational landscape. It proudly launched Nevada's first osteopathic medical school and the state’s second medical school overall, marking a significant milestone in regional healthcare. The university's commitment to innovation extends to a diverse array of programs, many of which were the first of their kind in Nevada, including pioneering degrees in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant studies.
