Trinity Law School

Trinity Law School, originally established in 1980 as the Simon Greenleaf School of Law, offers a distinctive legal education rooted in a rich historical foundation. Named in honor of the renowned 19th-century Harvard law professor, Simon Greenleaf, an undisputed authority on the laws of evidence, the institution set out to cultivate legal professionals with a deep understanding of justice and its practical application.

Cofounded by the influential John Warwick Montgomery, the school immediately launched an ambitious curriculum. Prospective students in its inaugural year could pursue a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, a Bachelor of Science in Law (BSL), and a unique post-graduate Master of Arts program. This MA degree, a one-and-a-half-year course, focused on Christian Apologetics and International Human Rights, showcasing the school's commitment to both rigorous legal theory and ethical, global advocacy.

From its initial home at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in Santa Ana, Trinity Law School embarked on a journey of growth and evolution. After an early relocation to Anaheim in 1982, it found its enduring home in Santa Ana in 1997 at 2200 N. Grand Ave. The same year, the institution marked a significant milestone by becoming a proud part of Trinity International University (TIU), a well-regarded academic network headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois. This affiliation broadened its institutional support and integrated it into a larger educational community, while maintaining its specialized focus on legal education.
