Turtle Mountain Community College

Turtle Mountain Community College, now known as Turtle Mountain College, stands as a beacon of education rooted deeply in the culture and heritage of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. Founded by the tribe in 1972 and chartered the same year, it proudly serves its community as a private tribal land-grant institution. In a pivotal moment in 2025, the college officially transitioned its name to Turtle Mountain College, signaling a new chapter. That same year, Wanda Parisien, a visionary leader, assumed the presidency, bringing fresh energy and direction. Adding to this momentum, November 2025 brought a monumental $22 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott – the largest private donation in the college's history – promising unparalleled opportunities and resources for future generations of students and the community it serves.
