From its origins as Ultimate Learning Center, Inc. in Clearwater, FL, UMA has undergone significant growth and transformation. In 2005, it was acquired by Ultimate Medical Academy, LLC, leading to expanded program offerings and the groundbreaking launch of online programs in 2009, making quality healthcare education more accessible than ever before. This commitment to innovation continued with its acquisition by the Clinical and Patient Educators Association in 2015, further strengthening its educational mission.

UMA’s academic strengths are highlighted by its responsive curriculum and strong industry ties. In 2022, UMA launched an Emergency Medical Technician diploma program, directly addressing the critical need for skilled EMTs in the Tampa Bay area. Furthermore, the academy fosters comprehensive educational pathways through articulation agreements with numerous education partners, including prestigious institutions like Purdue University Global and Western Governors University, offering students diverse options for continuing their academic journey.
