The institution's journey began in 1993 as Ultimate Learning Center, Inc. in Clearwater, FL. Evolving significantly, it was acquired by Ultimate Medical Academy, LLC in 2005, which led to an expansion of program offerings and the pivotal launch of online programs in 2009, making education more accessible. UMA has consistently responded to industry needs, notably launching an Emergency Medical Technician diploma program in 2022 to address high turnover in the field. Further expanding its reach, UMA Education, Inc. acquired American Institute in 2023, integrating five additional campus locations.
