Union Adventist University

Nestled in the heart of the Midwest, Union Adventist University stands as a testament to over a century of faith-based education and community building. Founded in 1891 as Union College, this private institution has cultivated an intimate learning environment for its 705 students, guided by the profound motto, "Erunt Omnes Docibiles Dei" (All shall be taught by God). It’s a place where tradition meets forward-thinking, preparing students not just for careers, but for lives of purpose and service.

The university's roots run deep, originating from the vision of L. A. Hoopes, church leaders, and W. W. Prescott, who sought to establish a vibrant Adventist college in the Midwestern United States. Their pioneering spirit led to the formation of the College View municipality south of Lincoln, Nebraska, where the campus proudly stands today. Over the decades, Union Adventist University has evolved, expanding its facilities significantly in the 1970s, including the addition of a prominent 100-foot steel clock tower and the Everett Dick Administration Building, marking continuous growth and modernization.

Most recently, 2024 ushered in a new chapter as Union College officially transformed into Union Adventist University. This name change clarifies its unique identity and mission, ensuring its distinct place among higher education institutions. Under the leadership of President Yamileth Bazan, the university continues its legacy of providing a comprehensive educational experience, encouraging intellectual curiosity, spiritual growth, and a strong sense of community for every student.
