Union Adventist University

Discover Union Adventist University, a private institution with a rich legacy dating back to 1891, now embarking on an exciting new chapter. Formerly known as Union College, this university officially adopted its current name in 2024 to better reflect its expansive vision and distinct identity among educational institutions. The university's roots run deep, beginning in 1891 when pioneers like L. A. Hoopes, W. W. Prescott, and church leaders envisioned an Adventist college in the heart of the Midwestern United States. This vision materialized in the founding of Union College and the accompanying municipality of College View, south of Lincoln, Nebraska. The campus quickly took shape, with academic classes commencing in September of that same year, laying the foundation for over a century of educational excellence. While College View was later annexed by Lincoln, the university retains its historical charm and connection to its founding community.

Union Adventist University has continuously evolved, marked by significant expansions and modernizations throughout its history, especially in the 1970s with the replacement of its clock tower and administration building.
