Union Bible College

Union Bible College, guided by its powerful motto "Changing the World with the Unchanging Word!", offers a distinctive educational experience rooted in faith, scholarship, and service. The college's rich history dates back to 1860, emerging from the concerns of members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) during the American Civil War. They established Union High School in 1861 to provide a secure environment for the spiritual and academic upbringing of their children, laying the groundwork for a legacy of values-driven education.

As the turn of the twentieth century brought new challenges, the institution adapted and expanded its vision. In May 1911, Quaker minister William M. Smith founded Union Bible Seminary, specifically designed to train aspiring ministers and missionaries. This pivotal expansion cemented the campus's role as a vital center for theological and vocational preparation. Today, the institution, which assumed interdenominational status in 1980 and was renamed Union Bible College & Academy in 1989, continues to thrive under the leadership of President Dr. C. Adam Buckler.
