University of Cincinnati-Blue Ash College

The University of Cincinnati-Blue Ash College stands as a vital regional campus dedicated to expanding access to quality higher education. Established in 1967 as Raymond Walters College, its founding was a direct response to the federal Higher Education Act of 1965, designed to make college more attainable for low and middle-income students. True to its mission, UC Blue Ash College offers an open-access model with lower tuition, currently serving a vibrant community of 5,172 students.

Throughout its history, UC Blue Ash has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and student success. Under the leadership of its longest-tenured dean, Dr. Ernest Muntz, the college quickly made a name for itself, notably acquiring one of Ohio's first super-minicomputers in 1977 – a testament to its forward-thinking approach to technology in academia. This pioneering spirit has shaped a college environment that prepares students for the future.

Academically, UC Blue Ash offers a diverse and strong portfolio. It was an early adopter of bachelor's degree programs, launching Radiation Science Technology in 2004 and the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Science in 2011. Students also benefit from a robust Study Abroad Program, which since 1997 has taken participants to over 15 countries across more than 50 courses. Beyond academics, the college fosters community engagement through initiatives like the UC Smiles program, providing free oral health check-ups to underserved children, offering invaluable real-world experience for its students.

Now known as UC Blue Ash College since 2011, it continues to evolve, as seen with the completion of Progress Hall in 2017. It offers an engaging and supportive learning environment, providing students with the strong foundation of a regional campus backed by the extensive resources of the University of Cincinnati system.
