Urshan Graduate School of Theology

Urshan Graduate School of Theology (UGST) stands as a beacon for Oneness Pentecostal education, deeply rooted in the visionary teaching and legacy of Andrew Urshan. Founded in 2001 under the auspices of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), UGST was established to provide a dedicated academic environment for theological studies that uphold this distinct doctrinal heritage.

The journey to its founding began in 1998 with a feasibility study committee, culminating in a historic vote by the UPCI General Conference in 1999 to establish the institution. This marked a significant milestone, leading to the appointment of its first president, David Bernard, and chancellor, Nathaniel Urshan, in 2000. UGST officially opened its doors on August 29, 2001, with a dedicated founding faculty ready to shape future ministers and leaders.

Academic excellence was quickly recognized, with UGST achieving full accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in 2010. This affirmation of its rigorous academic standards reinforces its commitment to high-quality theological education. The institution further expanded its reach in 2011 by absorbing Gateway College of Evangelism, leading to the creation of Urshan College. This strategic move broadened its offerings to include undergraduate degrees, making it a comprehensive educational hub under the unified banner of Urshan University.

Today, Urshan Graduate School of Theology, alongside Urshan College, offers a unique educational experience for students seeking a robust academic foundation within a vibrant Oneness Pentecostal identity.
