Urshan University

Urshan University stands as a dynamic private Christian institution with a rich history rooted in faith and dedicated scholarship. Established in 1968 as Gateway College of Evangelism, its journey began with a vision from the Missouri District of the UPCI to provide a robust Bible college experience in the St. Louis area. Over the decades, it grew, adapting to the evolving needs of its students and the broader community.

A pivotal moment occurred in 2012 when Urshan Graduate School of Theology acquired Gateway College, leading to the creation of Urshan College. This transition marked a new era of expanded academic offerings and a deeper integration within the UPCI structure, operating jointly to foster both undergraduate and graduate-level Christian education. The institution continued its mission, guided by its inspiring motto: "To Do Justly And to Love Mercy and to Walk Humbly With Your God."

Today, Urshan University, officially rebranded in 2024, is led by President Brent Coltharp. It provides an engaging, Christ-centered learning environment where students are encouraged to grow spiritually, academically, and personally. Its commitment to justice, mercy, and humility remains at the heart of the student experience, preparing graduates to serve and lead with purpose in a complex world.
