The institution's rich history began in 1968 as Gateway College of Evangelism, born from a vision within the Missouri District of the UPCI. After four decades of impactful ministry and growth, the college embarked on a significant transition in 2012. Urshan Graduate School of Theology acquired Gateway College, jointly operating it as Urshan College. This strategic move solidified its foundation and expanded its academic horizons, culminating in its official renaming to Urshan University in 2024, marking a new era of expanded opportunity and influence.
