Wabash Valley College

The college's journey began independently in 1960, a testament to the local community's commitment to higher education. This strong community root set the stage for its future growth. In 1969, WVC took a significant step by joining forces with Olney Central College, forming a dynamic two-college district that quickly expanded to include Lincoln Trail College later that year. This collaboration was further solidified by a substantial $5.9 million bond issue, which funded the construction of modern, permanent campuses, demonstrating a long-term vision for student resources.

The spirit of collaboration and expansion continued, culminating in 1978 when the district grew to encompass Frontier Community College, creating a robust four-college system that maximizes resources and educational opportunities for students across the region.
