The story of Wesley Biblical Seminary began in 1974, born from a crucial need for well-prepared pastors in the Methodist denomination, particularly across the Southern United States. Under the visionary leadership of founding president Ivan C. Howard, a passionate group established this independent, non-profit institution. By July 1975, WBS was officially incorporated, solidifying its commitment to an unwavering statement of faith and a unique educational mission.
