William Jessup University (WJU) offers a vibrant, faith-integrated educational experience, building on a rich history of transformation. From its origins as a small Bible college, WJU has blossomed into a dynamic university committed to academic excellence, community engagement, and spiritual growth, all set on a distinctive campus in Rocklin, California, many of whose buildings were designed by Frank Gehry.

The university's journey began in 1939 as San Jose Bible College, founded by William Lee Jessup. Over the decades, it navigated expansion and leadership changes, eventually being renamed San Jose Christian College in 1989. A pivotal moment arrived in 2004 with its strategic relocation from San Jose to Rocklin, marking its emergence as William Jessup University. This move solidified its academic standing, building on its regional accreditation from WASC, which it earned in 2002.

Today, WJU is recognized for its commitment to developing well-rounded individuals and fostering a strong sense of purpose. The university expanded its academic offerings significantly, notably launching a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Spring 2023.
