The college's journey began in 1997, officially approved by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and quickly gained traction with classes starting in 1998. Founded by Kenneth Oosting, a former dean and educational consultant, Williamson Christian College was established with a clear vision, achieving its first accreditation just four years later in 2002. This rapid growth and commitment to quality education set the stage for its future success and evolution, including a strategic move to its current Franklin campus in 2012 and a name change to Williamson College the following year.

Academically, Williamson Christian College is renowned for its strong focus on business, leadership, and ministry programs, preparing students for meaningful careers and service.
