The Won Institute of Graduate Studies stands as a distinctive private graduate school, carving a unique niche in advanced education. Rooted in its compelling motto, "Personal Development. Professional Achievement.", the institute offers specialized programs in areas like Won Buddhist Studies, Applied Meditation, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbal Medicine, preparing students for impactful careers in wellness and spiritual leadership.

The institute's journey began with a visionary discussion in 1993 by the third head dharma master Daesan regarding an educational initiative in the United States. This vision solidified over the years, leading to the submission of its first application for Won Buddhist Studies in 1999. By 2001, the Won Institute secured its Glenside location and officially opened its doors in 2002, marking the beginning of its commitment to graduate-level education.

With a focused student body of 92, Won Institute offers an intimate and supportive learning environment. The school celebrated its first graduating class in 2004, a testament to its foundational programs. Demonstrating a dynamic approach to holistic health education, it expanded its academic offerings significantly, adding the discipline of Acupuncture in 2005 and further strengthening its curriculum with Chinese herbal medicine in 2011.
